At BELLAKARMA I truely care about nature and the environment and strive to create all of my jewelry and wearable art from materials that do not harm the environment by using upcycled, vintage, recycled, discarded, and ethically sourced materials, including natural materials that I collect from nature during my travels.

Most of my pieces are created using stainless steel or copper wire; for the minimal impact they have on our environment.

Stainless steel production generally has a lower environmental impact than precious metals like gold or silver, and it's 100% recyclable. It is also known for its robustness and resistance to scratches, dents, and bending, making it ideal for daily wear.

Unlike sterling silver, which can tarnish, bend, and breaks easily, stainless steel doesn't tarnish, rust, or corrode, requiring minimal upkeep. It is also generally hypoallergenic, making it suitable for people with sensitive skin or metal allergies.

Copper is a durable metal that can withstand everyday wear and I personally love it's warm, rustic appearance.

Unlike stainless steel, copper develops a natural patina over time, which adds character and charm to the jewelry that many find appealing, but it

can be easily cleaned with a variety of methods to remove tarnish and restore its shine if that is your preference.

Additionally, copper is a highly recyclable material, making it an excellent, environmentally friendly choice for BELLAKARMA.

Whether you choose something created with Stainless Steel or Copper, each piece will come with directions for the proper care and mantinance of your handcrafted jewelry to ensure beauty and wearability for many years to come.

Care for our environment is not overlooked when it comes to my packaging either. If I have not created the packaging myself, rest assured that the products that I do purchase have been made with recycled materials or come from companies who pride themselves on being environmentally friendly.
